We are very happy to announce that thanks to our mighty Spanish aggegator PARES, the Archivo Histórico de los Movimientos Sociales are now available in Archives Portal Europe!
The Historical Archive of Social Movements is one of the historical archives that form part of the State Archives System, under the ownership of the Spanish Ministry of Culture, located in Alcalá de Henares. It is an institution created in October 2021, with the aim of recovering, organizing, preserving, and disseminating documentary collections from individuals and organizations involved in sociological phenomena demanding change of any kind since the last decades of the 19th century. Its scope is therefore open to trade unionism, neighborhood movements, student movements, feminism, environmentalism, naturism, anti-capitalism, anti-militarism, and many others. Their actions, struggles, demands, as well as their attempts and achievements at transformation deserve sufficient consideration for their memory. You can find more information here
