We would like to remember HM The Queen Elizabeth II with a collection of photos and papers from our Content Providers.
Born in 1926, Elizabeth II became Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms when she was only 26 years old on 6 February 1952. She passed away on 8 September 2022.

The University of Gloucester Special Collections and Archives holds a photograph showing "Queen Elizabeth II sheltering beneath an umbrella, accompanied by one of the Maori elders, as she passes through lines of cheering festival performers during her walk through the crowd at the Polynesian festival welcome to the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh at the Auckland Domain Saturday. Heavy rain marred the performance with the grass being totally waterlogged"

Another photograph portrays The Queen (then Princess Elizabeth) "just before her 18th birthday with her parents, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (now the Queen Mother). The Queen's 60th birthday 5 March 1986." This is only one of a special series of 12 pictures to mark The Queen's 60th Birthday on 21 April 1986.
