Our Content Provider The National Archives UK (TNA) runs the Postgraduate Archival Skills Training (PAST) programme to equip students with the best practice and skills to become able to conduct archival research in the best and most effective way.
All sessions are delivered by TNA records specialists and are based on working with original documents from the collections of TNA.
Registration is now open for the next round, a day of "Introduction to Archival Research" aimed at third year undergraduate and postgraduate students.
This
introduction day will explain how to get started with archival
research, the importance of knowing the history and structure of a
collection to navigate the records, and how
to make the most of time on site.
Sessions are running throughout November and December 2022, here is the calendar:
3 November 2022 – PAST Introduction to Archival Research (on site event)
15 November 2022 – PAST Introduction to Archival Research (on site event)
1 December 2022 – PAST Introduction to Archival Research (online event)
13 December 2022 – PAST Introduction to Archival Research (online event)
