You can now register for the 2nd Edition of the "Web and social media archiving and preservation" Summer School, organised as a joint collaboration between the Cultural Heritage Department at the University of Bologna and Fondazione Flaminia.
The Summer School will take place online between 5 and 9 September 2022 and it will offer high-level training on the topic of archiving and preserving websites and social media, which constitutes a new and diversified type of primary source material of critical importance in many scientific fields (e.g. historical, sociological, anthropological research).
The summer school is for cultural heritage professionals, computer scientists, digital humanists, people working in the public and private sector, students in Library and information science and in Digital humanities, and everyone interested in the topic.
This second edition will also include an in-depth analysis about websites and social media personal accounts archiving practices, with a focus on digital inheritance of data, websites and accounts on social platforms.
The school has the patronage of associations ANAI, AIDUSA, AIB, SISBB and AIUCD; participants that are part of these associations will enjoy a discount when enrolling.
Deadline for registrations is 26 August 2022
