HSBC is looking for an Archives Manager in the Asia Pacific region, based in Hong Kong. It's a full time position.You will join HSBC's team of archivists spanning London, Hong Kong, Paris and New York.
Their archives form one of the most international corporate collections in the world. At the heart of it are the records of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, founded in Hong Kong in 1865. The collection captures their evolution and the contributions of employees over the years. They also tell a story of the social and economic history of the communities.
The Archives Manager Asia Pacific will be based in Hong Kong and will report into the Regional Head of Archives. The jobholder is responsible for driving their collecting programme in Asia Pacific, and leadingappraisal, cataloguing and conservation workstreams. The jobholder also oversees the professional storage environments. The jobholder collaborates with global colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures, and participates in the ongoing development of their digital archives system. They also require strong curatorial and presentation skills to support outreach programmes. This includes leading tours and developing exhibitions at the interactive Archives Gallery in Hong Kong.
