Our Content Provider the Birmingham Archives and Collections has organised a free event on sound archives, as part of the celebrations for Birmingham Heritage Week.
The workshop will take place at the Library of Birmingham, home of the Birmingham Archives. Colin Hyde of the East Midlands Oral History Archive will explain how sound archives preserve our audio heritage. Colin will play examples from the Library of Birmingham's archive collections, and from other collections in the Midlands, and will explain how these can be useful for local and family history; creative work in film, music, and sound; reminiscence and other health-related work; and much more.
The event is free but booking is required, at this link
