The University of Turin is hosting the conference “History and Geopolitics of Nuclear Deindustrialization”, to be held on the 11 and 12 June 2026 in Turin, Italy.
The conference aims to bring together historical, geopolitical, socio-environmental, cultural, and economic perspectives to examine the multiple trajectories of nuclear deindustrialization across time and space, as well as their implications for contemporary nuclear policies.
The organisers welcome paper proposals addressing, among others, industrial restructuring, labor and expertise, decommissioning and waste management, post-nuclear landscapes and memory, governance, and the political geographies of nuclear infrastructures and supply chains.
The deadline to send abstracts is the 28 February 2026, at this link: nucleardeind.conf[at]gmail.com
