Today marks the 155th anniversary of the birth of Franz Lehár, Austro-Hungarian composer. He is most famous for his operettas but he also wrote sonatas, symphonic poems, marches and waltzes.
We found a copy of the libretto of Der Graf von Luxemburg (The Count of Luxembourg), an operetta Lehár composed in 1909, held by the Landesarchiv Baden-Württenberg in Germany.
We also found his original autograph in a document held by the Archivo Historico Nacional in Spain.
