Gian Giacomo Migone, historian expert in the US-Italy relationship, has interviewed Gianni Marilotti, president of the Commission Library and Archives of the Italian Senate, on L'Indice dei libri del mese.
Gianni Marilotti and his team have been the main responsible for a massive innovations in parliamentary practice in Italy: the Senate declassified the secret acts from Parliamentary Committees on Enquiries. Its archives are now available to the public, to scholars and citizens.
In the interview they discuss the massacre of Piazza Fontana (and the new revelations coming from the newly declassified acts), Freedom of Information acts, the example of the National Archives in the UK, and Julian Assange.
