The ECHOES website is now online, you can follow all updates on the creation of the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH) there!
ECCCH is a shared platform for heritage professionals and researchers to access data, training resources, and advanced digital tools, co-developed by the heritage community according to their specific needs. It is being created by the ECHOES project, which brings together fragmented communities of the Cultural Heritage field.
The ECHOES consortium brings around the Digital Commons the main actors of the European Cultural Heritage community, including us at APE!
ECHOES will create a digital environment to empower users to manipulate digital tools and promote jointly-developed scientific knowledge. This digital environment will allow the creation of a new generation of heritage objects, the Digital Commons, which are semantically rich and collectively produced.
At the end of the project, ECHOES will deliver a single platform to integrate results of EU and national projects on cultural heritage. ECHOES covers 15 EU member states directly, but many more countries are represented through different projects, in all areas of cultural heritage.
