Workshop: Presentation of Archives Portal Europe
On Wednesday, October 30, a workshop was held at the University of Sarajevo, jointly organized by the Institute for History of the University of Sarajevo and the Archives Portal Europe Foundation. Archives Portal Europe (APE) has been presented as a web portal that provides access to millions of archival documents, exhibitions, and other materials housed in archives, libraries, and other institutions across Europe. The workshop consisted of two parts: the first part introduced attendees to APE's projects and operations, followed by a "Searchathon" - a practical session where participants engaged in research using APE and explored the possibilities offered by the portal. In addition to the in-person participants, there were also online attendees, as the workshop was held in both formats. The workshop was led by this year's recipient of the Archives Portal Europe Foundation research grant, Dr. Enes Dedić, a senior research associate at the Institute for History.
