The 1st May 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the death of Ayrton Senna, arguably one of the greatest racing drivers in history, and perhaps the most beloved, too. Senna died at only 34 years of age on the Imola circuit (Italy), while competing at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix; but 30 years on, the myth around him is as vivid as ever. Archives Portal Europe hosts quite a few documents on him; this is a search obtained using his name as keywords: https://www.archivesportaleurope.net/advanced-search/search-in-archives/?term=Ayrton%20Senna&using=default
Interesting, this lithography from the archives of the Câmara Municipal de Sintra, in Portugal, is dated 1995, one year after the death of the pilot. It depicts Senna with Portoguese racer Manuel Fernandes, celebrating with a bottle of champagne. Not a mistake, but a later homage to the legend.
