Following our post on the 2022 iPres Conference proceedings, we are happy to repost the Call for Contributions for iPRES 2023. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will host iPRES 2023 from September 19-23, 2023, in a hybrid form.
The conference has the objective to facilitate connections between digital preservation researchers and practitioners from all over the world.
The conference invites original contributions that
- will develop new directions for preservation research, practice, and policy;
- discuss trends in the field that will influence future work;
- explore new ways of understanding the changing nature of information.
The call welcomes full papers and short papers, as well as proposals for workshops, tutorials, posters, and panel discussions. All submissions are welcomed, especially those which relate to the overall conference theme Digital Preservation in Disruptive Times. We reflect on our responsibility not only to foster preservation, but also to ensure that society can make use of the incredible amount of data, information, and records that we are stewarding—or that have not been, to date, incorporated into our libraries, archives, and museums. Contributions from researchers and practitioners who are directly involved in digital preservation projects or who have a strong interest in the subject matter, are particularly encouraged.
Details about the submission process and the conference topics now online at ipres2023.us. This Call will close on March 10, 2023
