STATENS VATTENFALLSVERK Indalsälvsarbetena 1936-1959 Organisationshistorik Byggnadsavdelningen Indalsälvsarbetena, organisatoriskt liggande under Vattenbyggnadstekniska byrån, upprättades för att ta hand om uppförandet av planerade kraftverksbyggen längs Indalsälven. Byggnationerna började med Stadsforsen 1936, som från byggets start organisatoriskt tillhörde Norrlandsarbetena, men som den 1 maj 1937 splittrades i Stadsforsens kraftstationsbyggnad samt Luleälvsarbetena. Stadsforsens kraftstationsbyggnad övergick efter en kort tid till Indalsälvsarbetena, med beteckningen IB, och omfattade byggnationerna av Stadsforsen, Midskog, Hölleforsen, Bergeforsen, Näverede, Stugun, samt Järkvissle kraftstationer. Stadsforsens kraftstation (IB1, IB3) Byggnationerna, med beteckningen IB1, påbörjades 1936 och första aggregatet tog i drift 17 november 1939 och det andra 19 mars 1940. En tillbyggnation utav kraftstationen, med beteckning IB3, påbörjades 1949 och det tredje aggregatet togs i drift 4 år senare, maj 1952. Kraftverket invigdes aldrig, istället hölls en visning av kraftstationen i samband med Torpshammars kraftstations invigning, på eftermiddagen den 13 mars 1945. Gäst var bland andra prins Gustaf Adolf. Midskogs kraftstation (IB2, IB6) Kraftstationsbygget, med beteckningen IB2, började 1941 och det första aggregatet togs i drift 8 juli 1944 och det andra 3 månader senare. Tillbyggnaden utav kraftstationen, med beteckningen IB6, blev klar 1955 då det tredje aggregatet togs i drift 21 oktober. Kraftstationen invigdes 13 juli 1945 av kommunikationsminister Fritiof Domö. Hölleforsens kraftstation (IB4) Byggnationerna av kraftverket startar 1945 och 9 december 1949 körs det första aggregatet igång. Den 17 juli 1950 tas det andra i drift och 1 november 1952 det tredje. Kraftstationen invigdes 8 september 1950 av kommunikationsminister Torsten Nilsson. Bergeforsens kraftstation (IB5) Vattenfallsstyrelsen utförde som entreprenör byggnadsarbetena av kraftstationen åt AB Bergeforsen (Bergeforsens kraftaktiebolag), i vilket vattenfallsstyrelsen ägde 60 % och Hammarforsens Kraftaktiebolag ägde resterande. Bygget påbörjas 1949, första aggregatet kördes i gång 7 oktober 1955 och andra aggregaten togs i drift 29 oktober 1955. Det tredje aggregatet tog i drift under 1956. Näverede kraftstation (IB7) Kraftstationen börjar byggas 1952. Första aggregatet kördes i gång 27 juli men togs i reguljär drift först den 3 september 1955. Det andra aggregatet provkördes 11 november 1955 och togs i reguljär drift 1956. Kraftstationen invigdes samtidigt som Stuguns kraftstation, av prinsessan Sibylla tillsammans med kronprins Carl Gustav 13 december 1956. Stugun kraftstation (IB8) Byggnationerna av Stugun påbörjas sommaren 1952. Det första aggregatet togs i drift 6 juni och det andra aggregatet togs i reguljär drift 19 december 1956. Kraftstationen invigdes samtidigt med Näverede kraftstation, utav prinsessan Sibylla tillsammans med kronprins Carl Gustav, den 13 december 1956. Järkvissle kraftstation (IB9) Arbetet med kraftstationen påbörjas juli 1955. Aggregaten togs i drift 24 september respektive 9 december 1959. Något datum för invigning har inte hittats, däremot höll Statens vattenfallsverk 50-år jubileum 1959 vilket förmodligen fick substituera en invigning. Arkivhistorik Majoriteten utav handlingarna har fram till omhändertagandet 2006 förvarats på Stadsforsens kraftstation, som fram till 1968 inrymde driftkontor för kraftstationerna Stadsforsen, Hölle, Järkvissle samt Sillre. I kraftstationen har de stått relativt oskyddat i ett förråd högst upp i byggnaden. Handlingarna har där varit utsatt för diverse klimatväxlingar, dagsljus samt påverkan av djur, men är trots detta oftast i gott skick och sällan mögel- eller fuktskadat. En liten del utav materialet rörande byggnationerna utav Midskog, Näverede och Stugun kraftstationer har förvarats på Midskogs kraftstation, möjligtvis ända fram till omhändertagandet. Kraftverket tjänstgjorde som driftkontor för dessa tre kraftstationer. Enligt brev inventerades arkivet 1956 samt enligt anteckning även rensats samma år. Vad som rensats framgår inte av skrivelsen, inventeringen har heller inte återfunnits. Bergeforsbyggets registratur (dossiéserie) flyttades från Bergeforsens kraftstation till Stadsforsens kraftstation i början av 1960-talet (troligtvis 1961). Ytterligare material från byggnadstiden kan finnas arkiverat i bolagets arkiv. Dokumentation rörande handlingarna i arkivet finns redan från december 1946 där det enligt brev framgår att de avvecklade byggenas handlingar arkiveras vid IK1 (Stadsforsens kraftstation), samt ett förslag för gallring utav dessa. 1951 föreslås ännu en gallring utav dessa handlingar. 1958 utförs "en utrensning och omläggning" utav arkivet i Stadsforsen. De handlingar som ansågs värda att bevara sorterades avdelningsvis, och redovisas. Vilka handlingar som under årens lopp har gallrats framgår inte utav dessa skrivelser. Arkivet har troligtvis inte genomgått någon ytterligare gallring, då vid omhändertagandet alla de redovisade handlingarna från 1958 (samt ytterligare en inventering från 1983) finns bevarade. Avgränsning av arkiv I arkivet finns handlingar från Indalsälvsarbetenas period 1936 till 1959. Arkivet innehåller dock i praktiken även handlingar från tiden före och efter. Handlingar rörande tiden före Indalsälvsarbetenas upprättande har integrerats i arkivet då Norrlandsarbetena övergick till Stadsforsens Kraftstation och dess handlingar därmed övertogs utav Indalsälvsarbetena. Handlingar rörande byggandet av Sillre kraftstation i Indalsälven har arkiverats separat då detta bygge föregick Indalsälvsarbetena och därmed inte ingick i dess organisation - se arkiv Statens Vattenfallsverk Sillre kraftstationsbyggnad. För kraftstationsbyggen i Indalsälvens biflöden - se arkiv Statens Vattenfallsverk Gimåarbetena. För handlingar rörande driften av kraftverken, se arkiv Statens Vattenfallsverk Driftkontor Stadsforsen, Statens Vattenfallsverk Driftkontor Midskog samt Statens Vattenfallsverk Driftkontoret för Indalsälven. Arkivet berör enbart uppförandet av kraftstationen samt samtida tillbyggnader (för Stadsforens samt Midskog). För senare byggnadsarbeten utav kraftverken, efter 1959, se respektive separata arkiv samt Statens Vattenfallsverk Byggnadsteknik. Gallring Gallring har inte företagits i arkivet under dess iordningsställande i enlighet med RA-MS 2005:56. För tidigare gallringar, se Arkivhistorik ovan. För att underlätta identifieringen vid en eventuell framtida gallring har blankettnummer och rubrik i de flesta fall redovisats i anmärkningskolumnen i arkivförteckningen. Handlingarna De serier som lämnar mest upplysningar om kraftverksbyggena i Indalsälven är dossiéserierna, som finns för respektive kraftverk. I dessa återfinns oftast de mest relevanta handlingarna som rör alla de vitt skilda områdena som omfattar ett kraftstationsbygge. För de båda utbyggnaderna utav Stadsforsens och Midskogs kraftverk finns inga dossiéserier upplagda. Materialet från dessa är överlag minimalt. Information återfinns i de övriga dossiéserier, främst F1D och F1E, samt i arkiv Statens vattenfallsverk Driftkontor Stadsforsen och Statens vattenfallsverk Driftkontor Midskog. Månadsrapporterna, som återfinns i dossiéserierna, är rikt illustrerade med fotografier över byggenas fortskridande. I dessa kan man detaljerat följa byggnationerna månad för månad. I serie G4 Kassaverifikationer, och framför allt i serie F5 Kontrakt och avtal, får man en utmärkt inblick i den mängd varierande företag som man gjorde affärer med, både de små lokala företagen samt de internationella. För information rörande de anställdas förhållanden under arbetets gång, men även deras fritid, ger serierna F2B Handlingar rörande olycksfall och sjukdom, F10 Handlingar rörande mäss och kocklag och F11 Handlingar rörande fritid, aktiviteter, insamlingar m.m. en bra inblick. Även de rika dossiéserierna kan ge mycket information om förhållandena, bland annat rörande egna hem och övriga bostadsförhållanden. För information om de anställdas löner, semester, skatt och pensioner finns dossiéserierna till hjälp, men även serierna F2AB Avlönings- och semesterspecifikationer, F2AC Underlag för löneuträkningar, F2AD Handlingar rörande skatt och pension. I serie Ö2 Tryck och publikationer finns utförlig information om de tekniska detaljerna i kraftstationerna samt viss fördjupning av Indalsälvens utbyggnad. Det bör noteras att handlingar daterade före och efter Indalsälvsarbetenas epok finns arkiverade i detta arkiv. Dessa handlingar har antingen övertagits från annan organisation eller haft relevans för det övriga materialet och har därmed inte kunnat utsorteras. I många fall har handlingarna rört för- eller efterarbeten utav kraftstationerna, men även vissa personalhandlingar finns representerade. Handlingarna i serierna är oftast indelade kraftstationsvis, för lättare sökning, vilket innebär att handlingar rörande Stadsforsens kraftstationsbygge oftast ligger först i serierna och handlingar rörande Järkvissle kraftstationsbygge ligger sist.   • Full dates includes normalised date information available for date-based searches. It is recommended to combine this selection with the filters "Start timespan" and "End timespan" for more details.
  • Only descriptive dates provides the date information in human-readable format.
  • No date either includes documents where the creation date is unknown, or where date information is not in a machine-readable format
